ASCC General Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm

 Treasurers report

$12 884.51 in account; $2 522.93 in PayPal; Levies are paid up to date. A cheque has been issued for the HPDS and the Solo in July.

Invoices need to be issued to O’Reagans and C English Motorposrts for sponsorships.

Membership report

We have a total of 104 members to date.

Solo Report

HPDS has 30 students registered; registration has been closed for this event. Volunteers are needed to help out with the event and a $20 credit for ASCC events will be given in return. Those interested should get in touch with Taylor.

The first regional ASCC Autoslalom was held and was a double points event. There were 13 students for the school; all but 2 were new. There were 24 entrants for the actual doubles event. Talyor is still looking for confirmation from Scotia Speedworld for the June 25 event.

Rally Report

Navigational Rally scheduled for June 10th put on by BAC; Windsor Curling Club at 9am.
Two rallysprints scheduled for July and October; a full rally August 26 (Lookoffrally.com) volunteers are needed for this event as well.

Race Report

The May 25 Race school had 3 students and the May 27 race had 2 entrants registered thus far. there will be tech inspections done on Victoria Day. Please update your information if required.

There are 9 possible entries for the Spec Miata races
Cars must be classified appropriately.; lots of discussion on classifications occurred.
New track guide is almost ready and should be available for the first race weekend.

May 26 will have an ARRCA school

Saturday from 10-5 will be lapping on the first race weekend with a cost of $80

Looking at taking the 30 minute marshals break for race cars.

New Business

Walter rported that the FodBoss will be available for use at the track and that the water is working after somewhat of a failure over the winter. Power to pit lane has been secered and the registration building is being moved. The electrical building and Hilchie Memorial Building are receiving new metal roofing.

There is a “garage” being erected at the track. It is an Interhab building and is 24×24; it will cost about $25 000. Walter is looking for a donation from ASCC to cover the cost of the building. Lots of discussion followed.

Taylor motioned that ASCC make a donation for the Guthrie Building in the amount of $1000.00
