ASCC General Meeting

Absent from meeting are Treasurer:  Brian Jarvis, Race Director: Brian Gay and Rally Director: Gordon Sleigh

Meeting called to order at 7:42 pm

 

There were no meeting mintes available to be read.

 

Brian Jarvis, Treasurer was not present for report so we are assuming numbers are similar or better.  Brian is expected back on August 16, 2012

 

Alan Gray, Vice President, gave a current membership report of 176 members, one havinf signed up at the track during the last event.  It was stated theat the region shuts down membership on September 1.

 

Debbie Miller spoke about picking up the new message sign to be used for advertising.  She has asked Umberto Lopresti to order two (2) new batteries for the laptop timing system.

The dates for the Annual General Meeting will be held in Moncton at Crystal Palace on November 24 and 25, 2012.

 

Taylor McArthur stated that the next Autoslalom will be helf this Wednesday in Truro.

At this time Geoerge Sheppard asked if he could publically thank those people who helped him during his diffucult breakdown at Selom Park in PEI recently.  your help was greatly appreciated.  His car is now back on the road.

August 24-26 will be the National Autoslalom Championships in Barrie, Ont.  We expect a few members to be present.

 

Cahrlotte Partridge gave a Rally Report on behalf of Pidge:  BAC has the upcoming Ledwidge loop Rally and is cuurently looking for volunteers for this event.  Please contact organizer Ron McKenzie.  The event is in Tennecape, NS

 

Pidge is organizing a Fun Rally for Sunday August 19, 2012 beginning at at 1pm at Wheaton’s in Sackville and completed at the Riverside Pub in Bedford at approximately 4pm.  Registr4ation begins at 11:30 am at a cost of $10 per entry.

 

Debbie gave the Race Report:

Last weekend was the August Double Wweekend.  there were 15 entries for Friday and 19 entries for Staurday with 34 driver’s/  Next race will be Septmeber 22, 2012

Chris Ward has a box of “Stuff”

 

George has floor 2 speakers for sale, a scissor jack for free as well as L brackets for free.  He aslo has a 16′ Craftsman scrollsaw, NIB for $100

 

Frank McCarthy, told stories as entertainment.
