Fellow Motorsports AND<\/strong> Movie Enthusiasts!<\/p>\n

The much-anticipated premiere of the Ron Howard-directed movie “RUSH<\/a>” will take place on Friday, September 27th!<\/p>\n

The Atlantic Sports Car Club would like to invite you to a pre-opening night reception at the Empire Theatres Bayers Lake<\/a> prior to the first evening show.<\/p>\n

While Empire Theatres can not confirm the exact movie start time until Monday, Sept. 23, they expect a 6:30-7:30 start time window.<\/p>\n

Based on this, ASCC has booked a reception room (upstairs above the main entry doors\/overlooking the lobby) for ~6:00-7:30.<\/p>\n

Again, once we have the finalized movie start time we will post an update to the reception time.<\/p>\n

Please note: Because this is an “Opening Night” ASCC will NOT be able to reserve tickets nor seats.<\/p>\n

Prior to Friday, however, you should be able to pre-purchase your ticket(s) ONLINE be visiting the Empire Theatres website.<\/p>\n

And by giving you a place to rest\/prepare while you wait, ASCC wants to help you “get in line” early enough to hold seats by putting jackets\/flags\/etc on your favourite viewing location!<\/p>\n

We will provide some light snacks\/refreshments during the reception.<\/p>\n

****Finally, if you’re thinking of dressing up in some 1970s disco\/motorsports-themed kit (ie racing suits, 70s-style hairdos\/wigs, marshalling whites, elevator shoes) PLEASE DO SO!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heck, dig out some big funky sunglass and an open collar shirt and you could be Bernie Ecclestone! Or wear plaid and be Sir Jackie Stewart!<\/p>\n

We have some 1970s videos\/photos (both F1 and all the way down to local!) to display and pipe in some 1970s music!<\/p>\n
