You may have noticed that the club website is somewhat out of date. A new website is in progress and should be ready before the summer competition season, stay tuned!

At the recent December 9th ASCC Annual General Meeting for 2008 a new Executive was elected, your new club representatives are as follows:

President: Brian Jarvis (Replacing Bill Anwyll)
Vice-President: Jason Smith (Replacing Umberto LoPresti)
Treasurer: Colin Wilmshurst (No change)
Secretary: Gordon Sleigh (Replacing Jason Smith)

As well dicipline directors were appointed:

Solo: Jason Smith (No change)
Race: Debbie Miller (No change)
Rally: Bill Anwyll (Replacing Ian Pearce)
Member at Large: George Sheppard (No change)

We thank Bill and Umberto for their service on the executive for many years as well as Ian's assistance on the Rally side of things.

We look forward to a prosperous and eventful (And event-full) 2009 season!

The Annual General Meeting of the Atlantic Sports Car Club for 2008 will be held at Kartbahn (66 Otter Lake Court, Halifax NS on December 9th, 2008 commencing at 7:00pm.


The agenda for this meeting is listed below. At the conclusion of the meeting, ASCC will be hosting a karting party for ASCC members. Members are strongly encouraged to bring a food or cash donation (min. $15) item for the Metro Food Bank in lieu of paying for their karting.

Club by-laws require a minimum of 20% of the membership to be present for a quorum. With a membership base of ~143 members, a minimum of 29 members are required. Motions made at the AGM will be voted upon by the membership at the March 10, 2009 General Meeting, as our by-laws require 3 month notice to the membership.
